Another week has come and gone and so I find myself uploading another place holder Xb
Chandi is one of my favorite side characters in Forest Tails and, judging by your reactions back when I revealed her, she is one of your's too ^^ innocent in absolutely every way, Chandi enjoys being around and being active, regardless of whether or not anybody else is ... and that's just fine.

I am perfectly aware of how dogs came to be.
But this universe is set after humans.
Dogs could have very well regressed (The breeds closer to original, not corgis and such) and thus there is some 'dog' in Chandi's blood, that this wolf family is not completely pure and may have crossbreed with some dogs that survived the end of humanity.

Don't be rude - there was nothing unusual about suggesting these animals might be changed from modern Earth to future Earth. I've read this comic, but I don't remember when they decided that there was absolutely no dog ancestor for these wolves. Maybe I need to pay more attention.
It's likely the fact that I know next to nothing of dog breeding, but maybe domesticated dogs interbred with local wolves after humanity ended, and given enough generations, the dog genes simply bred out, leaving behind just the wolf.
I know, it's reaching way too much, and I have no idea how likely it is anyway, but a possible idea.

Actually she's very well capable of hunting so long as she has directions to follow. Like all wolves, she needs a pack to function, but she's more than capable of, and frequently does, catch things to sustain herself because she needs more food with her relatively large body.
