Well, it's been a rather long time since I wrote and posted something, hasn't it? I can't say what stirred me to break the literary silence and end the drought, but I'm actually pretty pleased with how this one turned out, especially considering how long it's been since I picked up the pen. I guess I still got it? Time will continue to tell~
P.S. (Take a moment to Google "Bee Balms." It's a marvelous looking flower and, apparently, a favorite of hummingbirds and butterflies alike.)

Well thanks, good to know I haven't altogether lost my metrical skills!
You're probably right about hummingbirds fighting, as I read they can be territorial over rich nectar zones to ensure they have a reliable supply in emergencies. Of course, that won't stop me from adding my own little fanciful spin on things.
