As an aside: Those shoes look ridiculous. They resemble the plantigrade equivalent of clown shoes. I am stuck imagining fancy furries walking around in lovely outfits, but their shoes squeak with every step.

I suspected as much, to be perfectly honest, once she began her tale. It seems the Theocracy has slowly drifted away from true divinity to the facade of divinity, thinking they serve something more but truly serving none but themselves. I wonder, however, if the church/state is actually that thoroughly corrupted, or if they just simply refuse to see/admit that they've strayed from the path?
