Before returning home, they get diverted to New York City to give a series of concerts at Madison Square Garden.

Madison Square Garden isn't just the big rotunda where the Knicks play. There are a couple of smaller venues under the stands that are isolated from the noise of not only the rotunda above, but the rail system below. This is where I suspect they played, as, after the fact, I realized that NOBODY has ever had a three night concert series in the rotunda.
