"I once was afraid. Terrified, of the future. Of the past. Of myself and of others. Swimming in a sea of terror I could have drowned. I could have sunk so deep within that I would have been lost. But I realized something there, as the flittering vermin that made up the vast ocean of my minds eye ran along my skin and I shook, looking on in abject horror as all my worst thoughts played out like a drama before me. As it was reaching it's crescendo, I saw.. That I am my fears. And that I accept them.
And within that moment, I felt a torrent of emotion. The conflicting tides rolling over my mind. All like a spring flowing from that most elder and most powerful emotion of fear. To truly understand fear, one must also understand joy and sorrow, gain and loss. And as best as you can, accept them and shape them into what you want. That, my friend, is why I am so cheerful whilst looking so grim."
My character from a friend's Pathfinder game, one I liked so much I had to get art of them. And I thought of none other than TheSnakeBitch who if you haven't check out by now, you should. They have been amazing in both times I've gotten something from them. Seriously, do it.
