The Steel Valkyrie team was put together by a being calling itself "Infinity" who has been recruiting the best soldiers throughout time to work as his personal enforcers. What ever Infinity is he is restricted by a set of rules, he and his kind may set their pieces and control them but may not directly effect events. The Steel Valkyrie team are supposed to take out potential disasters, defeat powers that would tip the balance and so forth.
