I was fortunate enough to be allowed to suit at St. Joseph's Annual Picnic here in Louisville! This is the first fursuit experience for the home, as far as any of the staff know, so it was an honor and definitely a pleasure -- the ability to inspire smiles is one I'd never trade.
Given that this is Kentucky, a lot of folks confused me for the Wildcat, haha. I heard a lot of "Go get your picture with the Wildcat" or "that's right, go Blue!" and what have you. This lady in particular was shy to take a picture but her friends egged her on, and when she stepped up I remember she said "good thing I'm not wearing my cards shirt", haha.
If people realize I'm a Panther? Great! If people think I'm the Wildcat? Whatever! As long as people think I'm FUN -- that's all that matters ^^
