Mutter mutter mutter. Grumble Grumble cough spurt.
...Oh...Your here. Sorry, I didn't see you I was...Well, yes, I was if that wasn't obvious. But that is not why I am here. I am here because I am presenting you with something I colored. A map to be precise. No, its not mine, its, well. To be honest sometime ago I was looking on the Home page of SoFurry and saw a map of an island like this, except it was hand drawn, and I quite liked the detail, so I faved it. Some time went by and I went to look at it again, wondering if someday I would edit the map I created for an RP I am doing with Madam Poodle and revise it in more detail like this. Weeks went by and it kept coming back to my mind, so one day I messaged Luksinatriks and asked if I could color it for him. (The original map was made by FurryNation2013 and can be found here: https://www.sofurry.com/view/819495.) He replied that he would love it if I did and so I started outlining the mainland and the islands in Affinity Designer. After doing the ocean and some of the mainland, giving him updates here and there, we talked about what I was going to do for the seasons and geography of the map. Once that was decided and I was a good deal into it he offered a trade, a story in return for coloring this map for him. (You should go check him out, he has quite a few stories.) So I presented him with a list of possible stories he could write from what I have been accruing in my mind and he estimated the length of each story after I gave him a summary of the plot and what happens and eventually settled on one. (The story of which I will be posting soon, or you may already see it by the time you click on this.) By now I was working on Homework while finishing up the map at night as he worked on the story. I was nearly done but gradually had to move my focus to college while my friend worked on the story. I was pleased with the direction he was going with it, and probably would have gone a similar route if I had had the time to do it myself. Anyway, I had planned to post both the finished map and story on or after Christmas, but the story wasn't quite done yet. I still wanted to add a few more details to the map myself so it wasn't just light green all around with forests, mountains and desert, so I added a slightly darker green down south for the swamps and around some of the rivers.
At the end we were both content and early on it was said if I colored another picture for him he would do another story for me. And here is the result of my work. This is just one of two versions of the map. This one is the geography of the island and the second one will be the borders along with the cities/towns.
