Murrh indeed. Every part of it is amazing as heck and I'm not just saying that cos of the theme, although sure is nice to see a lasso being put to good use. Gotta love the height difference from being on horseback too. Bet that outlaw feels very small.

Apologies for bringing up a very old topic, but has that story been made public since? Was mighty interested in what the story behind the pic was, especially as it remains one of my absolute favorites.

Unfortunately not.

My trade partner started the work on the story, but due to personal problems the project on his side was closed and after I was informed I accepted it.

So no this story never came to live.

If you like you can think of a possible scenario or short story for this^^

I know I've said it before but Eternal always looks good as a cowboy, even if he's looking a bit bloodied and battered here. At least it looks like he put up a good fight and I would imagine as he's not been gagged he might well be keeping up with the complaints about losing his hat, excessive brutality in his capture and the indignity of being dragged along. That's a very handsome dragon as the sheriff as well, quite sharply dressed and I love the way he's looking down on his captive probably having had enough of his attitude and maybe mentioning that Eternal might be heading for an appointment with the gallows but he could always get his horse into more of a gallop and finish the job here and now.

I really like how the clothing turned out here, the shading and texture on the denim in particular and those little details like the sheriff's bootlace tie and the way the Stetson is balanced over his horns. Last but not least, that is one beautifully drawn horse.

I am happy with how the hat on the dragon turned out, but it was not easy to place it that way, that it would look natural and logical. Dragons need a special head form for to be able to wear hats at all^^

Oh nice a western theme one very cool drawing partner^^ ....I wonder what sorta crime did Eternal commit for him to be captured by the Sheriff?....He must of not have paid his tab at the bar lol :D
