So... Ford is my fursona that I'm slowly figuring out the works for.

Backstory unacknowledged, he has the power to open portals between places, but these places can be in the same universe, or anywhere in an infinite multiverse. Infinite multiverses leads to... infinite absurdism. First off, not only would the factors of the world have infinite variables, but the laws of physics and magic do to as well. Obviously he can't go to universes where magic portals aren't permitted, or where carbon atoms are highly unstable, or universes without other universes (infinite variance encompasses a lot), but he can go to universes with literally no differences, or universes where culture is highly different, or universes identical to others but set farther back or forward in time.

And infinite, is really, really fucking big. There are universes where he's a god, universes with post-scarcity economies, and universes entirely void of not only consciousness, but all life in general. Not only is there one of every possible universe, but there's infinite of every possible universe. Again, infinite is really, really fucking big.
