Glass, yes, with the optical refraction and reflection included, Typically with a Fresnel falloff shader applied, to modify the reflectivity based on the angle of view.
Blender's Cycles engine has a dedicated "Glass' Shader for this function.
In Octane render, the glass type materials are covered within the Specular shader material.

There is a massive update in the coming Blender 2.79 release, specifically for Cycles.

the Principled BSDF Shader is going to greatly advance material quality with so much function within one shader to achieve almost any material.
Finally the Integration of Filmic Blender will be a great boost to a dynamic range feature that has been lacking for so long.
And an ACTUAL shadow catcher material!! I can now directly insert characters into video or photographs without so much workarounds.
And integrated De-Noising - I'm tempted to re-render some of the more noisy images to have a better version..

I saw Blender Guru's videos on that. It looks pretty cool and quite useful. I gotta try and get back into Blender. I had to halt my learning as work started up with 10-hour days and it's been going on since June.
I'm intrigued by this, Even Render. Saw a few vids on that too.
