It is an 1863 Springfield that i got from Taylor's and Co. For about 600$. I don't think they have early 1800's weaponry, I think the farthest back they go would be a 1842 Springfield smoothbore. There is another place from Canada that sells older period pieces I think it is Middlesex Village. I know they have a ton of flintlock firearms.
Yeah, I think you are thinking of Military Heritage, the place in Canada. They've recently made another batch of the Potsdam 1809 pattern musket that I find so handsome: http://www.militaryheritage.com/musket2.htm (apparently this model was also used by some Union troops in the early war).
The 1809 pattern is also the one that I drew for my avatar picture: http://www.furaffinity.net/full/23861239/
I will have to do more research on which rifle I would want if I ever wanted to purchase, probably a Pattern 1853 Enfield or a Lorenz rifle.
Thanks for the info!

I'm not the one sending the gold its the state of California is the one sending it.
You will need to talk to talk to your Congressmen about that. They seem to need paying first and it seems that they have not been paid enough yet. Though with all the kickbacks (it was still legal to bribe politicians at that time) you would think that they had plenty of money.
