Do you know what happens when a hobby-musician gets terribly sick and is stuck at home for weeks?
THIS
(I wrote this a friggin' months ago, I'm healthy again by now. Well, I still fully haven't regained my weight yet but the sickness is gone. So yeah, HEALTHY)
Sorry about the quality btw, I've tried my best to improve it but for some reason it's still... how it is.

The Endless Seasons. Sorta feels almost like the kind of music you'd find in a time lapse of seasons changing.
The March of Time.
Waving Ricochet.
Kinda difficult. It's a very simple riff of rising and falling notes in a few different keys. Not much to it. I wonder if a layer of whole note chords in the mid range might help give it some more interest.
Yeah I know, it's simple. Gotta start somewhere :P I'll give that mid range thing a try
I'm really glad you liked it. I spent like half an hour doing nothing but thinking and looking up synonyms for "up and down" or "rise and fall" or "oscillate." I knew that's the one that felt the most right.
That would be awesome. What program do you use? Is it free? I wanna give music making a try but I've never known how. Also, does it require a MIDI keyboard, cuz I don't have one.
The program I'm using is pretty much the simplest program for making recordings of anything there is! Maybe you have already heart of it, it is called "Audacity". Free to download. I would be careful about where to download it tho. They have an official website, I'd only get it from there. I'm extra careful with downloading free stuff because I once actually got a virus from downloading TS from apparently the wrong website...
I'm pretty new to this recording thing myself. I play keyboard I think 5 years by now, can't quite remember when I started taking lessons. But I've started this recording thing just about a few weeks ago for that project I told you about. If I would want to professionally edit my music I wouldn't know which program to use.
By the way, I saw today that the local media store had a bunch of headphones for sale for lowered prices. So I stopped by to take a look and guess what I found:
The Sony MDR 1A for 150€! And with a neat silver look. I immediately bought them! I actually just got home like an hour ago and I'm testing them right now listening to music while I'm writing this and I have to say: They're AWESOME :D And comfy as well <3 Just like you described them. Thanks for telling me about them <3 <3
Now I still have those Fidelios with the hole in it. I keep fixing them with tape but it keeps coming off after some time and I have recently run out of tape. Now if I would use them I'd have to get along with that hole. I still plan on keeping them however. They still make great ear protections. And not only for me, I have the MDR 1A's now. In our band we practice in a basement of some building and the drums really kick in small rooms. Not good for the ears, even when you are like at the other end of the room. It's not very big. I urge our band members to bring headphones as ear protections and most of them do it, but there is this one genius, the rhythm guitarist, who forgets to bring them. Every. Single. Time. I would bring them for him from now on.
Maybe even, if he should be interested in having headphones which have a hole in the cushion but still work just fine, I could give him them as a gift. Would help getting my Karma back to balance.
AWH, Did you get the silver and brown versions? I LOVE that alternate color scheme! They're super good, aren't they?! DAYUM. Dude, I am SOOO happy to hear that.
Can't you pick up good ear protectors for like thirty bucks? Or cheaper for in-ear professional use? https://www.massdrop.com/buy/rooth-earplug
I guess you don't need a keyboard, you could also use any mic. Audacity handles that too. The quality depends on which one you use and how you set it up. I haven't made mic recordings entirely myself yet but some others did that with me and it turned out pretty well. But only like with professional mics, I don't know if you happen to have one of those. I also don't know if the laptop mic would do it. Never tried to record that way yet.
How are the headphones? Are they good? What's their sound signature in comparison to your previous ones? I'm so curious! Go back and listen to all the songs I linked you in that huge conversation we had. I'm listening to that Mitis song "For Miles & Miles" again.
Same effect with the other songs. That chillstep knocks me away even more with the 1A's. I also tried out the songs I sent you and apparently even this kind of music goes better with sonys ^^
I really love those headphones <3 I think they're the BEST I've had so far :> Again, thanks for telling me about them c:
I'm SOOO glad you like them. I'm glad I could help you discover a really good set of headphones. And my god, what a steal at the price you got em for, jesus.
Now just get an amp with a bass switch on it! XP
You're welcome. XD
