I appologize; I know some people consider death - even with nothing after - to be a "release" from a life of torment, like now it's better. It's just over, not better or worse. Just over. Again, that's just my own belief, which I hope I find out is false whenever I die... but until then, I'll never know.
I've heard it's somewhere between 100-200, but yeah. Lets just hope the inevitable legal battle that's gonna happen to deal with his huge debts don't result in those songs getting taken away and released for someone else's profit.
If that happens, I am pirating the SHIT out of whatever's released, and sending a check addressed to his kids for the full retail amount.

Haha, like those assholes would actually stain themselves with visiting FURAFFINITY! (gasp)
nvm that half of them are closet furries.
Also, I agree with Toren -- Mays was a great guy, loved humor, even when it was himself as the punchline (see the FA LotD, for example), and he would probably chuckle if he knew a new holiday were being celebrated to emulate his trademark delivery.

I don't think it would be tactless, form what I heard Billy loved to make people laugh and smile, and I think that would a good way to remember him being the loud funny guy trying to sell you anything from Oi Clean to his own grandma,. As for MJs passing, it was a sad day, I listened to my favorite MJ song three times in a row in his honor.
As I grow older I watch my past slowly slip away, One moment fading to another disappearing from sight but not from memory and this is one I shall never relinquish.
He will be missed for all his music and the magic he made.
RIP Michael
PS Beautiful image, very moving as a fan of both your art and MJ. Thank you

Sadly, MJ will not be remembered for his music. :(
......... Well, at least not for a couple of years.
But don't worry. He'll return as a zombie to terrorize the night in that way that only the King of Pop can. :D
*plays Thriller music and dances, undead style*
Apologies in advance if this offends. >_<;;

Liz, this is a very nicely done pic--even without color. The pose, the expression, the focus on the hat all contribute to the message you're trying to convey.
I too was a fan of M.J., all through the 80's. He was the first real pop singer I ever followed as a kid. When things got weird for him later on, I lost interest, but I still feel the tragedy of losing such a talented performer.
