Well, here's another one of those 3D pieces. It's Quetazalcoatl of the Aztecs! Also known as "the Feathered Serpent." He's sans feathers because it was too hard for me to create realistic feathers for now. The concept was based off of a picture from a modeling practice thread, so I disclaim any credit for the concept itself.
I was studying intensely on how to get those dang topology of the mesh to follow the anatomy. Needless to say, the head took way too much time to model, although it got easier as I move towards the tail. ;)
Rigging only consisted of just importing a template armature, replacing the legs with a tail, adjust, and use Blender's shiny heat weight feature to assign all of the bones. It isn't perfect, but it gives some decent results.
Modeled, rigged, and rendered in Blender 3D.

servers working just fine. must have caught it on a hiccup. actually if i still had my tablet pen *cries hard* i would ask you for some zbrush tips but alas i aint using no mouse to do it. plus that program is a pain i nthe royal butt if i make one mistake i lose all the work i just did.
ZBrush is a pain to learn correctly. but it makes modeling organic figures so much easier. plus it lets you auto UV your model as you paint it. it can even make displacement maps. quite an impressive piece of software if it wasn't such a royal pain to use. the undo system is its worse quality. i havent figured out how yet but it seems to have a 3 undo limit like MSPaint *shudders*
