Lyra is quite happy to be down on Etaliari and not on her home world of Arkuzia, the large moon orbiting the planet. Up there, it's winter for most of the year and the land is almost always covered in night, except for a few months during the summer season, so the difference with the Iznugian Isles where it's summer for a long part of the year is quite striking. Lyra's not complaining though; she prefers the sun.

I did this pretty quickly, just to try something different with the way I used the sketch, and I have to say I'm quite pleased with the result! It makes it look a lot softer but still using lines, so it's less work than a lineless painting where I have to refine everything. Good to know. Also; that water? Yes. I love it.
