I was informed it was rather important to the character. They seemed completely willing to let it go but it was such a quick and easy fix, I didn't see any reason not to add it in. :P

Definitely not. Coffee tastes like it comes from Satan's outhouse. Tea is pleasant. Unless some benighted creature has put mint in it. They should both have steam, though.
