Wait, her name is Gabby Mcstabberson? Wow, the remake sounds pretty wild. But to be honest, I never saw the original. Just got that theme tune stuck in my head like everyone else! Was it a good show?

The original show was very good, Though it did lack a bit in character development. The premier of the reboot was also really good, with much deeper character potential. It was also fun looking for all the Easter eggs.

I actually started watching the original show after i watched the premiere of the new show. I don't think you have to be familiar with the original to like the new one. I think the original still holds up pretty well, the stories are a bit simpler then in some cartoons today but I feel that the animation is still really nice looken even by today's standers.

I'd like to think that Webby was trained in self defense by Mrs. Beakley. Mrs. B looks a lot more athletic than in her previous incarnation, so maybe she's a former bad-ass like MI6's Alfred Pennyworth?

In addition, Glomgold did mention to his henches that they were the "best of the cheapest".

I know all these things and I still don't buy it. I think they just really wanted to make her and her grandmother so different from their original versions that they kind of over compensated

One of the things that's tough about being older and watching shows intended for a younger audience is that we sometimes overthink things. However, there are times where the show's writers take stuff like that into account and every once in awhile, throw the overthinkers a bone. =)

heh yeah people these days to tend to over think things these days. I just noticed that I have become more aware of like story telling tropes and cues so I try to figure out what they are trying to say before it happens
