House Umber's great shame, Notjon, the hunchback, daydreams of riding in a tournament, an honor lost to him ever since he came under the Tallhart's service.
Recently, my table top gaming group has gotten into George R. R. Martin's "Song of Ice and Fire" series, starting with "Game of Thrones". Just about everyone picked up a copy of the d20 game book (a really stellar game translation) and personally, I can't wait to play my hunchbacked hero.
Those familiar with the naming scheme of House Umber from the series will immediatly understand where he got his name from and why he might have been saddled with it. There's honestly something so perversely amusing about playing a hero with the strength (and blood) of a giant, but the the broken aspect of a dwarf. All of that power and potential, wasted, forcing the character to find his own way, even though he still has daydreams of greatness.
Artistically, I'd say its not half bad considering how long it has been since I've seriously attempted anything. It was really more of a dare I made myself tonight to create something, anything, worth a post. Yeah, the lance is a bit off and some of the details are fuzzy, but I still like it. ^,^

I looked through your gallery and this one immediately caught my eye, but I wanted to see the rest before commenting. Your stuff is wonderful and your stories you include with them are so much fun to read. This picture, though, is one of your best. It makes me want to know more about him and read his story. ^^
Thank you for your wonderful art, both drawn and written.
