FINALLY FINISHED.
I entirely redid this picture from a very old one as a part of a contest. And i had just barely finished it last night when i went to upload it...and couldn't. It said the category could not longer receive submissions (meaning it had expired). I thought i was screwed (and absolutely pissed, because this would have been the SECOND time i was denied submission of a contest entry). Fortunately, the creator was allowing people to upload their submissions normally and send them a link, because the category expired early for some reason. FSHEW!

Anyway, i'm really proud of how this piece came out. It's been a tough several years and this image is giving me a lot of hope that i have the power to turn things around-i just have to do my very best, and try. Important people respect hard work, so it will always work in your favor one way or another.

A little side note for the bleeding tattoo:
The Dragon Neferus (the son of Leviathan who was created from his blood and Vistyne's) can only exist if he is summoned from his host-Vistyne. The burn (almost henna-looking) mark is a result of his powerful, living soul trapped within. When he is summoned, however, he must use Vistyne's flesh in order to be resurrected. Utilizing the power from Vistyne's unnatural blood, and the power of his father, Leviathan, he is able to multiply her flesh and blood removed to create his entire, enormous form. Due to Vistyne's abilities in healing and the amount of pain she can handle as well as work with, she made the perfect subject. Despite her partial brother's efforts to have Neferus be the way to control Vistyne, the two ended up creating a strange, mutual bond, where the immense beast would only listen to his host, his master, Vistyne. =)
