Hey there Miz Decaf!!
Here she is, at last: a tighter, more polished take on the first image, sans type. (Because I suck at type.) I kinda split the difference with my approach....didn't stick to the "loose as I dare" direction but I also didn't go totally rendered, like I do when I'm my Alter Ego. The result's proof I've got more larnin' to do, and I took some major liberties with Decaf's character Lila. I hope you will forgive the departures, woman, and dig this beast anyhoo. Let me know if you want the full-size file and I'll get it to you.

Lovely colours and composition... The way the tail curves around the picture it makes you want to look at her face, down along her tail, and back to her face again. And of course with the warm reds in the foreground and the paticular shade of blue in the backround, everything just "pops" out at you. Good work, good work.

Yay for critness! And for pointing me towards the tutorial. Honestly, the hair seems to pass the squint test for me--it forms a big shape when I take off my glasses. Still, this is stuff I need to keep working on, and if you'll continue giving me your crits, I would be one happy camper. :)
