On a recent trip to Victoria, British Columbia, we walked through "China Town". It was quite interesting, lots of shops and places to eat, and this unique cast iron figure of an Imperial Dragon (5 toes) holding a Celestial Pearl. The figure is about 8 feet tall from base to the top of the pearl.

The story I got from a local merchant was that the figure was originally a gas lamp at the entrance to China Town dating to the late 1800's.

If you look closely, you can see my nephew Patrick posing atop the pearl. (He says the dragon is quite friendly and allowed him to scamper up using his scales to get a grip.)
