Broken Pearl is a storyline saesar came up with and I'm working with him on that takes various characters and places them into an underground fighting circuit. Said circuit has become a popular underground sport that gives funds based on bets towards any particular faction, the Broken Pearl being one such faction.
Dus is one of the rare solo fighters without a clear backer. While he fights to get funds, he actually spends it on helping people get off the streets and get a new lease on life, especially children. However, being a solo player makes you a prime target since no one will try to help you should something happen.
Dus has a lot more core weight than most fighters, but this only made him focus on a somewhat Sumo style. He's a great deal stronger than one may suspect and often wins matches by brute force after lulling his opponent in with his supposed slow form.
Despite the looks, he can actually take to the air if need be.
His signature technique is the Gasshou Hineri, grasping both sides of his opponent's head and wrenching them around before violently throwing them.

Yeah, he's a lot more ruthless in combat in this version.

He sticks with the sumo style the most because it's how everyone expects him to move, but if his opponent is particularly underhanded, he switches to the fast brutal style that specializing in spine breaking and neck snapping, which isn't against the rules in the underground circuit.
I may actually have a comic made showing Dus using the relentless style on a cruel opponent.
