Okay, one more bit of informational post for the cutscene and we'll be roleplaying again tomarrow.
Pretty happy with this picture, although it's nearly impossible to show the caked on face-paint Akela wears, and I suck at deliberately drawing older characters.
Akela is the caravan's resident whore, or as she prefers to state it, "lady of marketable honor". She is an elderly bat who has experienced much of the world, and apparently been experienced by much of it. Despite her age and slightly ragged appearance, Akela is a pro all the way and knows her business inside and out, so to speak. Being a bat gives her certain natural advantages in the "marketable honor" field. In order to stay aloft, bats have to keep a certain trimness to their figure. And then of course there's that long, prehensile tongue...
Akela is happy to give our heros any advice on the subject of the physical side of love they may with to consult with her about. She has an earthy personality and is easy going and quick to laugh, although she does have a tendancy to offer "Freebees" to the males of our little group, perhaps under the impression that neither the inexperienced paladin nor the slightly effeminate swordsage would take her up on it...

This is indeed online. In fact, we're playing this game right here on FA.
If you would like to read up on the game so far, it starts here:

Unfortunately, at this time we have a full compliment of players, although due to various requests to play, I've been giving serious thought to allowing some people to roleplay out some of my NPCs. If you want to stick around in the hopes of an NPC role, go for it, although I can't promise anything.

Akela would most definitely be likely to pass on "tips" to anyone who seems interested.
She's kind of lonely, really. Most of the other caravaners avoid her, so unless they're at a town and she's working, she does not get much company, and when she does, it's clientèle and most of them are not interested in chit-chat...

Wow. Didn't expect that.
Akela looks to be in far better shape than the mental image I had going. By the image here, I'd have her pegged at middle aged, or perhaps slightly past that. I suppose my problem is I associate the "elderly" descriptor with images of doddering old fogies who have everything falling apart. Clearly not the case here.
In regards to the art itself, I love how you've rendered the wing-structure here, looks fantastic.

What a lovely 'lady of marketable value' we have here. And with how hell-bent Na'Nfr is on becoming a true grave guardian, those whiles likely would be woefully ignored. Not to mention that mask of makeup might actually creep out someone who's religion includes wearing a mask to hide one's face from the souls that they kill, so their spirits can't come back knowing who they are for revenge. :)
