Olivia Ryder, my second playthrough of andromeda, originally started as a bit of a joke from me. I wanted to make a super serious Ryder and decided to make her inspired by Olivia Pierce - 2016 DOOM's villain. (Which, considering the idea of doom Evfra came up completely separately from her, is kind of funny to me)

Nowadays, she's accidentally become my 'canon' Ryder. 'Canon', because in RP, she's the sibling-Ryder. Her SAM-implant got busted during [spoiler], the replacement-procedure leaving her with the scar running along the side of her skull. She's pragmatic with a scientific mind, and a soldier through and through. Back in the milky way, she actually managed to get accepted into the ICT, but could not continue her training after reaching the N1-rank due to Alec's dishonourable discharge. Instead, at 21, she went into the terminus systems, where she spent her days until the initiative embarked.

Olivia speaks fluent english, cantonese, and the batarian trade-language (which she originally studied in the belief that they would eventually rejoin the galactic community). Once she awakens in andromeda, she also starts to study Shelesh.

Her brother Matthew often refers back to her in political matters, as she was always more level-headed than him.
