Yeah, if this were a real situation, I would not be okay with it. Not letting me know something was in my drink would really impair my ability to trust them.
That being said, I think caretakers have judgement calls to make, and if they know their littles, they may not always give them all the information if they're acting in their best interest.
I give Manda a pass on this one, because Star doesn't seem to blame her or feel betrayed by the circumstances.
If Star still trusts her, then it looks like a judgement call that worked out.

Luckily, this is just comics, and it makes for drama for the storyline.
If it were a real scenario, This is why it is paramount for any Little to unconditionally trust their caretaker/Big to know that they would only look out for the Little's good. However, there are some folk out there who would DIE to be Star right now, the uncertainty.. the suspense!
As far as comics go: 5 Stars! *Cheesey-face emote here*

Afraid as a switch I'd personally disagree. When I'm I being little I don't expect the details as that is decision make material. I expect the big to choose and I follow.
When I am big I expect the little to follow my orders, not receive an explanation on each order and then decide for themselves if they want that.

not being told my drink was spiked, is definitely something that would be a "make or break" for me. if I wasn't told what was in a bottle if my caretaker was being resistant to letting me drink something, I would feel I was owed an explanation of why. Just like one time I explained a situation to a customer's child who then was like "oh, ok". That situation was something about the customer said something about they were "going to forget something" and the kid was confused, so I explained "hypothetical situations" in a way that would make sense to a child.
in a situation like the one in the comic, I would expect the explanation to be along the lines of explaining it to a kid/little, meaning in this case something like "the green is to help little ones with number 1" or something to let me know what was in it without breaking character. At that point I would likely be either like "ohs, otay, pink please" or "ohs, please can I have green?" At that point, I would be able to truly give consent or not, with still staying in little space, and without anyone's trust being put at risk.

If I'm honest, I'd agree to an extent ^^
Personally if it were a real situation, I'd trust my partner to ensure that either I know what's up with the drink, or find out whether I'd be okay with it or not beforehand. (E.g. subtle hints and guiding the topic to allow non-suspicious questions about it)
If the latter has happened, then I'd be fine with not being told, as she would have already checked if it's okay ^¬^
If there was no check though, and no warning, it certainly would concern me.
But in this comic, I'm sure a lot of people were expecting and hoping for something like this, hehe~ :P

i figured it went without saying that if something was checked ahead of time then that would be fine. Like, if I trusted my caretaker not to take advantage of me and it was said to be ok for them to put something in my drink that would make me sleepy(because I'm kinda into K.O. stuff), then that would be fine yea. it's only when something happens like a spiked drink without any form of consent that I take issue with.
I just hope that someday I can have a significant other/caretaker combo or at the very least go to a ab/dl party like this.

I probably need to quantify one thing. I am half in reality half not with the above statement. In real life most laxatives and diuretics state on the package to consult with a doctor or pharmacist before use. Yes, they are available without a prescription, but people are still killed by them and medical advise is recommended before use to ensure you know how to use them and do not have any medical conditions that will adversely react with these drugs. As such in 100% real life I would advise a partner against playing with these unless they are a doctor, or have medical advise regarding their use.
But in most comic worlds, including from what I can see of this one. Those hazards are not attributed to these things. It is just the desired affect of temporarily needing to go and having little say over it that is attributed to them. That is what I view as an acceptable consequence to choosing not to listen to the grownup. So the grownup does not need to inform the little of what the consequences will be if they continue to defy.
I would not view a grownup risking the health of the other without explicit consent as acceptable. And have spent considerable time going off the deep end with negotiations when some one tries to tell my Dom side that anything is OK. I hate that phrase!

I'm really interest about what's coming next, because until now manda considerate a lot about star limit, so I think she just figured out better that she can push a little more and make star use her diaper.
she'd not explain why because it's just a story, in here it can be taken as the trick in "star, go get the pizza" (if she'd know the pizza deliverers was aware, there's no thrill)
now she's gonna have the choice to use her safe word and go to potty or just have a new thrilling experience and as a reader we know better than Manda that Star deeply want more :P

No, not at all. Manda wanted to give Star the pink bottle, told her repeatedly, but Star wanted to be like the other kids, venturing off into the unknown. Grown ups do not always tell children WHY they say something, nor is it required. At this party, Star is a baby, and is being treated like one. She now is finding out the consequences of those actions.
See I am torn because Star told Manda that she did want to be pushed, that she wanted to be taken out of her comfort zone because she knew that she wouldn't step out of it on her own. She literally asked for this to happen. I do agree that I would feel a bit hurt and betrayed, but at the same time, she trusts Manda, and she DOES what to use her diapers, she is just afraid to take that step. This is definitely a grey area, but I think that in this case it just depends on the people involved. If Star feels betrayed, she CAN talk to Manda about it, and from what I can gather, from Manda's personality, if that happened, this kinda situation wouldn't happen again.
Yep exactly it's just strike after strike for that poor baby lynx 😬
But who knows, maybe Manda will be more understanding about the underwear thing. I think she's aware at this point that Star had issues before with using the diaper, even though she presently appears to be quickly getting over that lol

Diuretics stand on the doping list of the IOC and are popular in for example Bodybuilding.
They are used to to either make doping tests invalid (by increasing the urine volume and diulite the doping agents and metapolites) or to rapidly loose weight to get in a lower weight class.
So yeah they are are banned in professional sports.

I was curious to see if this was true so using this site http://www.globaldro.com/UK/search/ I put in the various over the counter diuretics into the search engine that I know of and whilst they all appeared in the list not a single one was prohibited certainly not for the professional world of judo
Well here is a article from the Technical University of Munich about it. http://www.doping-prevention.com/su.....ng-agents.html
But I think its either certain (strong) kinds of diuretics that are banned or if you take them in higher dosages over a longer period of time.

I am supposed to be taking 80mg of Lasix per day. I don't because it makes me pee like every 20 minutes for six hours. La-six, lasts six hours! Now, obviously, there wasn't that much in the bottle, but even a smaller dosage will make you pee quite often, a couple of times an hour for a few hours.
Thanks Sammy for two pages in one day. Head ruffles and hugs!
Okay, so many people think that Star is going to wet herself. She might. She might be able to hold it until Manda gets there and then she can ask politely to be taken to the potty, at which point Manda will find out about her panties.
Manda is not going to be pleased with Star, in either case, since Star pushed and violated the rules. When Jimmy tells Manda he had to double the time out for Star, Manda isn't going to be too happy about that, either.
What we don't know is how long Star is on the step for. Five minutes is an interminable eternity for small children, but nothing for an adult, even acting as a baby. So, say ten minutes total. Manda isn't going to let her off the step until her time out is done, even if she does ask to be taken to the potty, and I can see a rift opening between Manda and Star at this point. Oh Martin, are you anywhere nearby???
Star wanted to play, but she wanted to play by her rules, and that isn't happening, and I'm not sure she knows how to deal with that. Sitting there in front of Manda in an ever increasingly wet diaper probably would be worse than the time in front of Marellis!

This was kind of a "perfect storm" situation.
Manda and Teca are obviously accustomed to being obeyed unquestioningly when they're in charge, and were perhaps a bit too reliant on that authoritativeness at a time when their relationship with Star is still being forged and Star is still very new when it comes to getting more fully into the little scene (..and I suspect Teca at least might take the view that littles who step out of those bounds deserve any unwanted surprises they get as a result).
Star for her part was a bit too dazzled by it all and caught up in the fun to ask one of the designated adults what the difference is.
The designated adults are operating under the assumption the score has been made clear and this guy at least seems more used to more experienced littles.

I think there is nothing wrong with that Star finds herself getting into. I mean she never asked what the colors mean. They clearly should've... Now if she'd asked & not been told the Green had stuff in it that'd make her wet herself. Then it'd cross a line. But her just not asking & choosing to be naughty makes her punishment of unknowingly drinking stuff that'll make her pee feel fair in my books.
Giving someone a diuretic of any kind without their informed consent is not fucking OK. You can never know that something is safe for everyone. What if one of the littles is on some kind of medication and they react poorly?
Fuck this. This page is a dealbreaker, I am not reading further.
