So Connie drove me to Ali'i drive today and dropped me off. I walked up and down the drive for about three hours. I checked out a couple of shops, sat on a wall off the shore and drew for a while, played in some tide pools, and stood around in knee deep water listening to some Japanese tourists talk. And I did it all without sunscreen which was the most moronic decision of the day (even more moronic than leaving my sunglasses in VA) because I am teh pale and I never tan I ALWAYS burn and yeah, I got a little bit of one on my arms and knees. I don't think it's really uber bad (I've had WAY worse) and it's not on my shoulders/back/neck (where all of my uber bad ones from childhood were--yay cancer!), so yeah. One side of me is redder than the other for some reason. o.O;

Anyway... I wanted to doodle myself, but I don't have access to a scanner here, so by the time I got around to scanning it, it would be all blah. So, I sketched this out in Painter, then I inked and colored it in Painter and touched a few things up in Photoshop. Ok, so I still can't color in Painter (though I do like the sunburn effect) and for some reason my inking came out all uber pixely when my sketch wasn't. Weird. It would have been much cleaner had I used a pencil and paper--my Wacom skills are pretty sucky. Oh well. Yay for long, stupid descriptions!!

P.S. I know the hands look like ass, that would be my lame-ass Wacom skillz. And yes, the shoes have no shoelaces, because I am stupid... and I didn't even bring that pair of chucks to Hawai'i anyway. Blah.
