Sketchbook 045: Spitfire Practice

Wanted to practice drawing Spitfire because I love drawing her. I think she is one of my favorite characters to draw from the show, along with Spike, Rarity, Twilight, Chrysalis, and Celestia. I also wanted to practice drawing expressions so that explains the bottom two sketches.
To explain the blurriness of the mane on the middle sketch, when I scanned it, there was a shadow that I tried my best to get rid of via Sai editing but, as you can see, I couldn't get it perfect.
I think I'll try doing these types of things more often. It lets me get some practice with various things. My favorite sketch of these is the middle one :) Also, I always feel that I never get Spitfire's hair big enough and it drives me crazy :l
