Actually, they're no worse for vision than any other fursuit. The viewing area through the masks is smaller than on toony suits, but the viewing area is right close to your eyes so you don't get the tunnel effect of foam heads. I'm far more confident with my movements in this suit than one of my toony suits.
That's nice to know. I've been informed that there's usually a trade-off between realism and practicality, especially where vision is concerned. But I guess there's an exception or two to every rule!
That said, I'm pretty sure that even the best vision in a realistic fursuit can't compare to that of mine. I made my fursuit head to leave my own eyes exposed for maximum vision, but the unwanted result is that they are too low, too small, and too close to each other for realism.

There's one more problem I have with fursuit heads: I have to be able to wear my glasses over the fursuit head, while still having the lenses close enough to my eyes to work correctly (and not give me a headache). I won't wear my glasses under a fursuit head because they will fog up, and I refuse to have a fan in a fursuit head.
I could try that. The last time I tried anti-fog lens cleaner, it left my lenses smeary. But that was some very old stuff, so maybe there's better stuff available now. Or I could just continue to wear my glasses over the fursuit head.
