Team StarWolf returns, and have created upgraded mech/walkers of their own transformable for the Wolfen. featuring an energy blade on one arm, and blaster cannons moved to each in mech form.
For this design, I leaned toward giving it a style reminiscent of the SNES 1 and 2 angular style, and took more inspiration from Mobile Suit Gundam as well.
For the way the wings and such are configured in mech form, it's more or less inspired from the mech "prototype" seen a couple times in StarFox Assault for GameCube used by Oikonny's Rebellion.

This also reminds me of those Shogun mechs from 64!
IIRC The team behind 64 wanted to include a mode in which the Arwing transforms into a humanoid mech but nope that idea was scrapped.
Not only that, but Team Star Wolf even had their own version of the Arwing Walkers (albeit more quadrapedal) called th Hunters in Zero.
