This piece was a lot of fun to do, and I'm quite proud of it. It captures a piece of our relationship- his rational and protective concern and my own freespirited enthusiasm, and the way they balance each other out. Because if I was really a glider and he was really a cat, I'd certainly be excited about glider glomps, and he'd probably have bottle-brushy tailfluff action an awful lot.

But when all is said and done, he knows that I'd leap from any height if it meant that I'd land in his arms, and that no matter what's going on in our lives, no matter who he is, successful or not, handsome or ugly, happy or sad... I'm always happy to see him. And I know that he'll swallow his own fears for me just to watch me glide, because he knows it's part of who I am. And no matter what, he'll always be there and do his damndest to catch me if I fall.

...which is not to say that I get out of these situations without a "don't SCARE me like that!" lecture, but it's just because he loves me. ^_^
