The final Mercenary Profile (for now).
Before we move on, Alex's owner is fatherw0lf. Do check his profile for other great images of Alex (as well as his wolf form).

So, how did I edit this particular image? Here is the scoop.
Thanks to the reference sheet I had access to Alex in a very nice relaxed pose. Leaning against a wall as a setting seemed like the simplest choice.
I envisioned Alex as a sort of troublemaker, still in school (the image made him appear like a teen) so I wanted to put him in a setting with a lot of grafitti.
After getting Alex, and putting him against an appropriate background I did two more things:
1) Despite having a plain purple background in the original image there was still a white "border" around Alex, so I had to remove it, pixel by pixel, because it did not look well.
2) I added a shadow, to give a better impression of Alex leaning against the wall. It is not perfect but it's better than the no-shadow alternative.
As I imagined Alex as being young (at least at the time of writing the report) I wanted to make it seem like Alex is a potential candidate, rather than a member already.
