Do you normally cover that in a thicker sole?

Well, I haven't found anything that works REALLY well yet, so for my personal stuff I just leave the sole of the shoe exposed and cover the toe-areas in the black mats you see there(Yoga mats) with shoe goo. Until then I'm going to keep trying latex and get feedback on it. The latex pawpads I made work really well, they just weren't the right size for these. The blue stuff dries black, btw, so it looks alot better than it does here.

Hm..I've actually been powling around hardware/home improvment stores lately and I've come across a type of padded tiling used for workout rooms that would work flawlessly for this sort of thing. Its black, thick and I'm sure if you could get it on to a foot or a hoof it'd work out wonderfully. I'll grab the name of it next time I'm in the store if you like.

That'd be marvellous if you could :) When I go home depot next I'll ask them, too. I gotta pick up stuff to make this lame digitigrade stilts thingie.

Vibram sells sheets of soling. the workout mats or the aforementioned tile may be cheaper. not sure though.
