When the darkness came, it swept across a land once blessed with rolling green hills that produced bounties in the cool autumns. Now, the land is kissed by the darkness, and forever changed. In place of those glorious hills now lays a land almost of another dimension. Molten lava of pure sapphire bleeds through the blackened soot and rock, yet it is cool to the touch. The bright baby blue liquid and reflective chunks of crystals would be easily mistaken for an ice field. Plant life like no other grows between the seemingly inhospitable volcanic soot and dust. It is truely, and alien world, ruled by dark creatures who seek to change and morph the world to their bidding.

They're as sick and twisted as the strange lands they rule. They too are shadows of what they might have once been as mortal creatures. They are a product of this change, birthed by that very same corruption...

Remember that old comic Spoils of War? Remember some of those older narrative pieces about Damian I posted some time back? Yeah, this is a follow up to that. Spoils of War is a story inspired by The Legend of Spyro series set in a world inhabited and populated by powerful and prideful dragons and various other races and species. One day a blight of corruption unleashes itself out, poisoning this world forever.

This artwork was meant to showcase just how these so called Dark Bringers can create something as strange and odd as a volcanic ice field. Wherever these creatures capture and dominate, they terraform to suit their needs. Thought I might give some insight to who those antagonists were in Spoils of War, since I like, never really talked aboooout them. You can dig into my scraps folder to see that terribly drawn comic. Heh.
