All three of these bats mean business! "Turbines to power," was how the B'mobile on the left was started, and the exhaust would flame on like a demented Texas sized propane bbq! The Burton B'mobile has a slide out jet engine that looks rather like the General Electric J79 that powered the F4 Pantom figher. And the "tumbler" from the re-coined series of movies actually makes the vehicle "fly" for a short distance. Not that I believe it for one moment, mind you. The pop-up .30 cal. machine guns on the Burton-mobile were bad enough.

Each one was sold as it is, as an assembled and painted 1/18 car. The manuracturer's of all three shown is Mattell. But be warned, Mattell is greedy, and charges more than other companies that do better work. The Burton Batmobile can probably be found for about $40 -- it's been on the market for years. The new one is about the same. But the TV Batmobile is at least $50 or $60 -- less demand for it I suppose. Just google for Batmobile and 1/18 diecast models, and you'll get pages of dealers.
I recommend one in BC called Keith's, Hobbies, as giving the best prices. But I don't know what they have in stock at the moment.

At the moment Keith's Hobbies has the 1966 TV Batmobile in stock, for $45, which is bad, but not as bad as when it first came out. This should take you right to the page.

Um... I suppose the new Christian Bales Batman is the right guy for the job if you approve of beating prisoners in police stations, and shouting at bad guy's face so loud that spittle flies in their face. Not to mention giving his best friend the most important of two jobs, so that Harvey loses his face and Bruce Wayne's old girl friend snuffs it. He doesn't seem like the Batman for me.
Granted, both of Schumacher's Bats were bland and forgetable. Micheel Keaton made an interesting and puckish sort of Batman, but he was a little small for the job. What we needed, I think, was Kurt Russell. (Did a hell of a job as Wyatt Earp in "Tombstone" -- don't confuse him with wimpy Kevin Costner from "Wyatt Earp.")

Haven't seen DK yet... want to....
Michal Keaton was.. OK... but was all over the map, emotionally.. and the BG STYLE was great (Gothic 30's Art Deco Overload) but it was also SO fake-looking in some places...
Something about Batman Begins just felt... ALMOST right.
As for Kurt. Hmm... Interesting. Would need to think about that a while.

Being that I'm... erm... "Thirty-nine" (*Jack Benny Innocent Look*), I can say I wasn;t taken in by that at all.
And if I may be so bold; Death Himself knows enough to steer clear of me, still... but if you wanna hit me with some seltzer water, go ahead.
...or by "funny costume" did you not mean a clown costume?

Also, Bro, have you seen this version?

That batman figure is 12'' big, so you can imagine how big that Tumbler is, the materal is actual Rubber tires and very high details on both the figure and the Tumbler itself. But if you will buy that, you best have 150-200 ready to burn. I bought my Leon S Kennedy RPD figure from there, its worth the prices. Take a look the joker figure and Jack Sparrow or any other figure on that site, Very very very very high details, its worth their prices.

There's also a 1966 Batmobile that's only 1/18, but so detailed (with full jet engine under the hood, computer jazz under the back hatch, and a much nicer interior) that it blows away the Hot Wheels version. But it's $100 or more. I had to settle for the Hot Wheels. If you have the money, you can always get a better whatever.
I have seen a large "toy" Batmobile. I didn't look closely at it because it was obviouslyh packaged at kiddies rather than grown-up kiddy collectors. Maybe it was this? Maybe it wasn't. For $200, probably not.
In any case, the site says those dumb louvres all over the rear end are braking flaps. Gimme a break! They'd hardly have any effect, as small as that. Good brakes would be better. But if you had to have an air brake, one or at most two large ones would have more effect than a number of small weirdly shaped ones.

Sure doesn't look like a ordinary Toys r Us Packaged Toy. Has blue lights as well.
a pic of them in the factory being made.

Looking at the suspension springs and that back spoilers area, this thing has alooot of detail for a simple kiddie packaged toy, which is not, its for Adult collectors.
This site http://www.hottoys.com.hk/product.php?cat=66 has alooot of great figures with super details. i linked you the batman figures/vechicles. When i mentioned that these 12'' figures costed 200, i shit you not, i payed 280 for my RE4 Leon RPD version. I can imagine how much the batman + Tumbler one costs D:
Take a look at the two Joker figures there, it has SICK details. If i had more money i'd get the batman with the Tumbler, Jack Sparrow, and the Joker figure D:

I guess it isn't the Batmobile I saw at Toys-R-Us at that!
But I don't spend that kind of money on toys, I'm afraid. I like 'em, but I can buy something real for that sort of money. For a lot less than that I can buy several 2,000 year old coins from a dealer on the internet... And some diecast cars with real carpets on the floor cost a fraction of what that Batmobile does, though admittedly they're only 1/18 not 1/6. One has to measure value by what one can afford though.
