Anubis, an Egyptian god of the underworld.
I enjoyed creating this, however, I can point out a billion things wrong with it. But I figured I should stop where I'm at because I'd probably mess it up somehow or make it worse. The scanner ate this one too. I can't wait to get home and use my good scanner.
It looks so much better in person. For some reason this scanner over exagerates dark colors and black lines. And despite playing with what little options it has, I can't get this to correct itself. Oh well.
When I had this sketched up, he looked pretty darn sturn and tough, but somehow, during the coloring, he got all soft and nice looking. Despite my attempts to correct this, he would not change his expression of being a soft and gentle god. He's suppose to be mean dammit! LoL!
RAR! I could tear this peice apart for all the little problems! But I will accept it as is.

I think it's a very nice piece. Actually Anubis wasn't considered a mean god. That is quite the misconception. He was more the gateway god, judging your heart against the weight of a feather. Because he was involved with death in ways, people seem to associate that with cruelty.
