I'll admit, I haven't been completely honest with you about things. And I'm just going to be frank about it.
I've been wanting to do things on my own for quite a few years now. But as you know, I've been struggling with my alcoholism and trying to be a good father to you. Your mother didn't exactly leave us with much when she left. Booze made everything easier. Well, everything but being there for you.
Though I have to admit, when you starting showing interest in cars, it gave me a bit of pride. Something that we could connect one.
But as they say: Money corrupts.
I'm the one who hit that lottery jackpot a couple months ago. I was waiting for the cash to come through. We're both adults now. I've made my decisions, and it is now time for you to make yours. In this box you'll find $60,000, your birth certificate, your Social Security card, and the title to the Jeep you've been fixing. I also talked to the landlady. The rent is paid through the rest of the lease, along with a receipt for that.
Knowing me, the next time you'll hear from me is when I'm facedown in a ditch from partying too hard.
