Quality control, to a point; I had to make sure everything looked good when I encoded from tape to computer, make sure the sound and video levels matched, etc.
I didn't really get to veto stuff. Sometimes we'd get a bad tape, and I'd have to bring it to someone's attention to get a better copy. A handful of times I caught something that seemed a little questionable to air - mostly it was incorrect stuff, but there were a few questionable items that I just had to ask about. Then it would get vetoed off the air.

Yeah, I know...though it can be quite satisfying to keep whacking away. There's a facebook group called "If I could punch you without getting in trouble, I would". I'm already a member. I just wish there was a way to punch people over the internet. A physical "GTFO!", if you will.
