Faulani, another character from my Sorche novel. She comes from a race called the Grenha. In this piece she has just broken free from her captors and takes in the first light of day.

I see one of us have been consistantly going to life drawing classes, or at least constantly studying anatomy books. For shame on us all for not following these simple crucial steps to keep up our work. *bow his head in shame*
Well it is a briliant piece but as LZeringue asked how long did it take to do this piece (for me sketch to completion) and out of curiousity did you use the pen tool(aka path tool, or Beize tool)?
too bad there is no more hint of a background to get a better understanding on where she is.
Beautiful still.

Thanks for the kind words, hyspin. I actually plan on doing much more to this piece, but I quickly tired of working on it and moved on to other work. I do that alot so it's a little more difficult to gauge how many actual hours I really spend on any given piece. But I estimate that I did this one for a total of about 35 or 40 hours or so.
But yeah, still more to do on this piece so the background is planned, along with a few other adjustments.

Because you're a hard one to fool visually. lol! Yes, what many people don't know is that this piece isn't "actually" finished yet, although it seems complete.
The reason her staff is throwing you off is because technically (according to her hand grip)it should be pointing in the same direction as the broken chain on her wrist (which flows almost across her backside), but positioning it that way would reveal her breasts. The breasts are no prob for me, but I had to consider the "kiddie" factor on some of the sites I wanted to post this piece. Anyway, I still have quite a bit more to do on this once I am motivated to work on it again. Thanks for viewing and good eye you have.

Turned out nicely! Glad to see more people like Brom!
