That is a horse though? The head reminds me of my own icon here.

Actually, to be totally honest, I think your icon was the art piece that originally led me to Yiffer's name and gallery, and later helped inspire me to approach him about character art. I think I had seen it ages ago when I was still active in livejournal, not sure which community/journal I was looking at. Anyways, because of this, it's not coincidence that we both got art from him since I sorta followed your path here, but I do think it's coincidence that they look similar.

The hair does look similar, but it's pretty close to the crappy ref I gave (More awesome than the ref infact)... as for the rest beyond the eyes and teeth, it might simply be "that's how he draws horsies", or because there are ussually similarities between two critters sharing the same genus/family/whatever. I really can't say/know, I'm not sure if your character is anything unusual beyond being a horse. Of it, I've only ever seen the neck and up :P

Anyways, I'm always keeping my eyes open for artists who can draw horsies well, or have art styles I like, or that I happen to have met IRL. Middah Yiffah fit all three of those categories :P

Actually my fursona is a horse from the head down as well. Reference here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/813411/ Been that way since I got on Second Life 4 years ago and found out they didn't have any dolphin avatars (my fur name comes from the word cetacean). but did find a rather cute line of pony avatars done by Lucah (who is on FA). Shortly after that I went though something of a revelation of my fur self in the form a dream. One in which I ended up getting horseshoed (ie kicked) into a barn or such, I just recall the dream had lots of equines in it saying "join us, be one of us, etc." Since then a few other revelations I have had reinforced that decision.

I am glad that I sort of helped you find your way to Yiffer at least, granted I am not sure if I also influenced him to start drawing horses I know I did request a few pics on the side that became his character of Kelly I think. Also he did managed to draw my nightmare character rather well (and big).
