So, as the debut draws near, let me loose a word or two on the actual work. You can all imagine I was looking for a fairly distinct style of Illustration for my pages within Heathen City 2. Early along, I decided that the sinister and dark mood of the story should echo in my drawings. I therefore picked a very distinct way of inking over my pencil sketches, where outlines and shadows have the same value and the same deep dark depth. This allowed me to apply a near brush like weight to my inks. Sometimes the outlines are only defined by the colouring, sometimes the outlines merge with the shadows and in some other times the outlines are what they should traditionally be: outlines defining the character they are depicting.

This picture is a very good example of what I was trying to achieve. As you can see, even some of the colours define lines which would usually be defined by outlines.
