Trottingster has been one of my characters for years and years. He started out as a warrior cat named Runningfox who was a quiet, soft spoken warrior that was shunned from the clan usually for being rather odd. He became the main villain, killing off his brother to frame the leader and eventually becoming the leader himself.
Runningfox/star was left in the dust for a year or so before I went back to him, deciding to make him into his own character with no ties to the warrior cat fandom, renaming him to Trottingster. However my attachment to the old story and the old personality of Runningfox stuck with me so now I have both Trottingster and Runningfox which are in a way two different characters but yet the same character at the same time.
Trottingster lives within a game, alike from the fandom created UnderTale universes. He is aware that everything is created by code and is able to view it however he is not able to change a person's or object's code.
He can however get into the mind of another being if he is able to gain their trust. He usually targets children for this and stays with them until adulthood when they are stronger and more able to carry out what he needs of them. During times of weakness or stress he is able to alter their emotions and even sometimes control their actions. In order to maintain their trust in him and therefore his power to manipulate them Trottingster does everything possible to make sure they are not aware that it is him that is causing these problems.
Trottingster is a partial shifter which is a bit different from a shape shifter. He cannot change his whole body, rather he can change bits of himself but cannot alter his entire form. He can only have one shift active at a time and each shift either changes his appearance slightly or gives him new powers.
In order to gain these different shifts he must take them from other beings. The target must die in order for him to take bits of their code and give it to himself. He does not need to be the one that kills them, he just needs to be present. Due to his small frame and little physical strength he usually will use someone else to kill the person he wants to take abilities from. Once he finds a target he will not easily give up his goal.
CURRENT SHIFTS
Fanged - Causes him to have two large saber tooth like teeth as well as larger paws and claws.
Warrior - Gives him a more friendly look with a fluffier coat, wider pupils and a grey star on his forehead. He is able to die and revive in this form. He has eight lives, the ninth was taken when the target he took this power from died. This shift was gained when he killed a leader from Warrior Cats.
