Based off a scene from Chapter 1 part 2 of our Sonic Fan fiction.
“Oh God . . .” she stuttered again as she felt her body begin to shake.
Sally looked back at Sonic, tears beginning to flow down her now metallic face.
“Sonic I . . . I . . . I almost . . .” He pulled her close and embraced her in a comforting hug.
“Don't, Sal, just don't.” He said as he held her tight.
“It wasn't your fault, Sally, that wasn't you.” He said as he tried to comfort the poor girl.
Sally's body was trembling as she weakly returned his embrace.
It all became so clear now: the robotization, the fight, nearly killing Sonic, strangling tails. It was all too much, as she finally broke down and cried uncontrollably into Sonic's shoulder.
“Hush, now.” He said, stroking the back of her head.
“It’s gonna be ok.” He whispered to her, over and over as he held Sally close.
The young Robian continued to cry, holding him tight as if she would die if she let go.
I'll be doing several illustrations based on certain chapters in the future. :)

Well none of the series that use robotization go into any depths on the process is done . . . only that organic life is transmutated into a mechanized version of its original form. But while the body is changed and the mind enslaved, the emotional features, such as tears and all are left untouched.
(besides who knows if the tears are saltwater organic and not just an robotic equivalent? )
Besides, I think the scene and story are just incredible, so why muck it up with technical nitpicking.
