Probably my first interest in muscular fellows came from characters and pictures I would see of circus strongman in comics and cartoons. Bruto here doesn't quite have all the qualifications a circus strongman should, such as his bulbous belly for instance. But when it comes to heart and kindness you'll be hard pressed to find another lion with as much strength in either.

Bruto the stronglion has been around circuses all his life, his father having been the regional strongman for numerous years before him. While Bruto never did quite inherit his fathers entire strength, when he passed away and the chubby lion wanted so badly to follow in his dads pawsteps the circus ringmaster didn't have the heart to turn him down. Though he tries his hardest everyday to lift massive barbells, 50 ton weights, and various circus equipment, more often then not our lion friend ends up lifting buckets of popcorn. But the conviction is there, and while he may not have the muscle toned body you'd expect from a circus strongman, he does have a pair of muscle corded arms that are really all he needs to entertain the locals. So, while he isn't exactly in his fathers image, he is still his fathers son.

Some of you may recall the work of a very talented artist by the name of 'Matt Smith', who briefly had a gallery on FA before it crashed a year ago. He still does have a web page up though at crazy lizard studios with all his fantastical art. Bruto here pays homage to one of his many orc pieces, as he's drawn in the same style, as well as the same pose. Originally I wasn't going to share this because I had originally just done it for fun, but there was something in those big eyes that I gave him that begged me to. So, here he is in all his cartoony glory, ready for inspection!
