HERE’S SOME MORE EXPERIMENTATION
So, after reading the results of the poll, it seems that the most popular option was the design on the right in the original artwork. And with that, people also wanted darker skin tones. So here’s a bit of an experiment I did with making the head from said design into 3D.
I want to keep the spirit of the original design alive, namely the scales which seemed to be very popular--they seemed to give the twins that ‘exotic’ feel to them. I’ll be keeping the idea of scales--albeit a bit more muted than the previous model to fit the skin aesthetic. Additionally, looking at the older model made me realise how they add so much unneeded visual clutter to the twins’ design. I’d like to simplify things a bit.
The shape of the new face I’m immensely proud of. It looks substantially more feminine and aesthetically pleasing to me. I also prefer the softer features here than the jagged and angular design on the left.
With the hair, I feel as though it turned out very well for not using any specialised maya hair functionality like Xgen--the hair here is completely made up of polygons and texturing tricks.
I do like the idea of the twins having hair in this newer iteration--it’ll give me the opportunity to add an extra layer of individual character to each of them.
If you’re not a fan of the changes, don’t worry! There will be plenty more content to come with the designs I currently have.

I'm more of a fan of the left face. I can't imagine Xelthia with any other one. While the one on the right is nice, it looks too small in comparison and like someone else said before, can benefit from a more slender setup. It may be a better option for an entirely new character over switching it.
Left.
LeftleftleftleftleftLEFT.
The right looks much more like every generic succubus you can find all over the place; just a girl with some body toning and horns. One of the biggest draws of your girls, for me, was just how DIFFERENT they looked. They actually looked like pleasure demons and genuinely alien creatures; alluring, but not human. The one on the right just looks... wrong. Like a female cardassian with long hair; hair and scales/plates don't work together in most instances.

The one on the right has a chubby face and looks just like any other generic succubus design you see anywhere completely killing the appeal that the original design has.
I liked the twins because they were different. They didn't have hair and had a draconic feel to them, which made them stand out amongst all the different demon designs you see...but now you basically just copied another artist's design and the result is a resounding...meh.

You know what, you can ask us all day what we prefer, but its really up to you as the creator to decide what you want.
Do most of us like the original design, Yes, but whats the point of creating content that you don't enjoy just to please other people?
If you like the new design, then do it, even if nobody else agrees, because when all is said and done, the most important person in this equation is you.

Evolve your art-style how you want. I appreciated your original models way more. The new ones are approaching the point where you might as well just be drawing humans. It feels more and more like you're compromising the unique appeal that the characters had, in an effort to upgrade or change them. The aesthetic of the original models faces, and how their expressiveness almost gave them an attitude, seemed more original in style. Now it seems that the handcrafted style of your character can't be seen in the model art anymore, only in the manner that you animate them. What I mean is, the character is barely recognizable anymore. It's only by your animation style that I realize, oh, this is by Benezia.
I love both designs. I'm honestly impressed with how genuinely human the face to the right looks! It's a gorgeous, kissable face if you ask me.
A lot of people seem to prefer the older design however. I understand that, seeing as the new design is quite a departure from the current one! Much more so than the current one was from the old one, I feel. Plus some people have a preference for the slender, angular features of the current design. I myself strongly appreciate the new design, but ultimately I think you should go whichever direction you like with it. Both have their merits.
If you want to try and please everyone you could also always just make a new character out of the new design and see where that goes! It's a lot of work for what amounts to an experiment, but hey, it might help you get a better feel for the new design. Rome wasn't built in a day, and the design is probably going to go through some revisions anyway.

Listen. The poll was rather clearly leaning towards people wanting them to remain how they already looked. How a meager 1% difference happened for the opposite of that is hard to say, but I think overall for the actually vocal fanbase you have they just don't like the idea of the new designs.
It's your work, your characters. But these really feel like they'd be better for brand new characters, or honestly some kind of hybrid/halfbreed children of one of or both of the sister's. Their look is unique, and it's really a shame you're wanting to make them look like a modern tiefling instead.

I like them both for what they are but the one on the right, while decent makes me feel like her head and or face is too round and may need to be elongated just a tad. Features wise this makes her look somewhat..japanese..I think, seeing how she's got the very pronounced cheekbones. All in all it's probably due to just being so different looking from what people are used to and that often makes them recoil when something they like changes. I'd love to see an entire body mock up so I could see how it all comes together instead of just a head.
This is a very lovely evolution. I'll seccond/third others saying her face would be a little more slender. Some Definition to her temples and just a hint of furrow line between her eyebrows. The slightest hint of age can be a very sexy touch that brings out the sophistication your current version enjoys.
The original is a more striking design than the current one to be honest with you, and helps to set the demonic nature of the species apart from just being "humans with horns". The original's texture also looks better, with parts of the scales and horns looking like they'd feel like they're supposed to be that. The new design makes the horns look kind of like a rubber costume.
Someone mentioned the design on the right being a new character and I actually agree with this. If you told me that the character on the right was a half breed or something like that, it would be pretty perfect for that purpose. But as a replacement it feels like too much has gone into simplifying the character that it loses a lot of what made it unique and striking in the first place.

I still prefer the original design, more alien looking and, as such, more unique and interesting. The hair could work but doesn't seem needed. As many have said, I'd also be fine if the one on the right (and similar designs) were to be a different subrace or a half-breed. Makes sense, too. Losing the original design entirely down the line would be sad :/
