I recently heard about these cute machines from
Giik, and just had to make one. :) This is a Spidercar. :) Running on Diesel fuel, they're by no means fast on flat roads, but they can climb over almost anything, making them more suited for mountain climbing and crossing other rough terrain. In spite of this, they're usually very unreliable due to the way they guzzle fuel, and because constant crossing over rough terrain causes them to gain quite a bit of wear and tear, ultimately making it so parts easily get knocked loose.
This particular Spidercar is owned by a mechanic named Kenta, who loves fixing up old and worn down machines and vehicles. Kenta found this Spidercar at a scrapyard while looking for useable spare machine and engine parts, and he just couldn't resist it. So he bought it, had it transported to his workshop, and got it fixed up and running again. Well... sort of. He can never be sure when it will start and when it won't, but more often than not when he does manage to get it started, it breakdown 10 or 15 minutes later. 20 minutes on it's better days. :D It also requires constant maintenance and repairs to keep in somewhat running order. It's already had to have holes on the body patched using metal plates, one time an entire leg fell off, and another time part of one of it's feet broke while climbing over some rocks. Yes, this little Spidercar is quite a handful for Kenta, but he still likes it, so he'll keep on fixing it up. :)
This was definitely an interesting project to work on. I've been working a lot on chibi cars, so this was a fun project to work on while waiting for the thought of what chibi car I'll make next comes to mind. :) With this Spidercar, I wanted to make it look old, worn down, and like it's clearly had parts either replaced or welded back on. The black smoke was a no brainer because it runs on diesel, and because it's so old and patched up that the exhaust is always that color XD. I tried to make it look like it had dirt smeared on parts of it, but I don't know if you guys can see from this picture. Either way, if you like the idea of the Spidercar, feel free to draw your own custom ones. :) They aren't a closed species, so if you wanna draw one of your own, go for it. :)
Also, to see more cool machines, be sure to check out Giik's page! :) http://www.furaffinity.net/user/giik/

Thank you! ^\\u\\^ I had a lot of fun drawing it, as well as thinking about all the cute stuff it does. :) Believe it or not, it actually has some lucky days where it doesn't breakdown during a trip. Of course on those days, it usually runs itself out of fuel quite fast. :D
(Sung to the old spiderman song)
Spidercar Spidercar, Eco-friendly Spidercar, runs on diesel and jars of flies, don't goes too fast, but passes cars, lane turn, there goes the Spidercar.
Is it fast, check it fred, Don't need no roads just swings on webs, Parking problems, no way ted, Just hangs on buildings by a thread, No tickets, there goes the Spidercar.
In the dead of night, then car thieves are on the prowl, It would wrap them in webs and drain their juices and how!
Spidercar Spidercar, EPA favored Spidercar, It's no porse, or a saab, but it's mileage is out of sight.
But cleaning those webs a hangup, if there's a traffic hangup, Fear the Spidercar!
Heheheheheheh.

It can be unless you’re used to it. The cusioned seat helps make the ride a bit more comfortable. Of course, you could just drain most of the fuel out. :3 It gets slower and bumps and shakes a lot less once it starts running low on fuel. :3 I suppose it depends on what kind of ride you’re looking for. ;)
