Hey guys, it's time to end it here.
Let's settle down and relax with this review.
Rocky Patel Vintage 1992:
Wrapper:Ecuadorian Sumatra
Binder:Nicaraguan
Filler:Dominican, Nicaraguan
Pre-Light/Construction:
From the first glance, it;s almost the same in presentation as the Vintage 1990 except a little more bold in appearance. With the black and gold band this time, more or a mafia feel came to mind. The wrapper itself was a little more rougher to the touch. The veins and seems were present but over run with the rough look of the wrapper itself. The scent was very cedary in wood notes. LEt's light it up!
The Burn Part 1:
The first few puffs were very sweet in cream. Cedar notes were just as vibrant as the scent from before. The draw was really nice and smooth at the beginning. A bit of pepper notes begin to pick up a little bit, small in stature. At this point I was outside of the golden nugget casino on the beach area with a cup of wine. Was a nice location to be honest for this. Before the end of the 1st 3rd, a massive earthy note came into play. Wonderful.
The Burn Part 2:
The Pepper notes start to build up a little bit at this point. The cream starts to turn a little bit. Sort of a sweeter hazelnut flavor. Felt a little different. Thought I should be drinking a frapp, but I stayed away from those. The cedar and earth notes started to blend in a bit. Becoming a little more relaxed and smooth for the body it was surprising to know this was a medium to full, at this point, it was calming.
The Burn Final:
As the cigar was coming to a close, the pepper notes started to stay in place after taking a step back a bit. The Hazelnut cream did the same in level. The earthy cedar notes stayed stronger however. After purging and getting the roasty notes the earth notes dwindled a bit leaving more cedar than earth, thus finishing it off.
Verdict:
A little more harsher than the 1990, but its that type of harshness needed to balance out the smoothness. Something I definetly recommend for any end of the day stick, even if out for the day. Grab yourslef a box honestly XD
