During the past Uploads we looked at inking and lining in particular, so I think it is very necessary to loose a word or two about colouring as well. You might have noticed that the colours are very reduced and toned down. Here again, I am emphasising the dark and dismal story. There are a lot of exterior shots in the comic, showing a lot of sky. Those skies are often cloudless and rather grey than blue. Of course that is all my genius planing and concept or some might be as bold and call it my way of showing off how downright lazy I must have been in the process :D

All in all the colours have a lot of grey in them. The palette I used for the comic does contain a lot of nice colours, all toned down, making the comic somewhat earthy in feel. I was often reminded of the richer colours of autumn with a wisp of fog lying on the landscape. I think this picture of this gorgeous male lion shows exactly what I am on about :)
