Well if you can't escape them you will have to subdue them, this is just one of the examples that can work, and it's very easy to do.
Step one, wait for that sloppy tongue, two present paws, three have two others pounce while you apply paws to tongue, step 3 wait until subdued. Now you have subdued a giant fox (warning, this may not work on all foxes and may only delay the inevitable)
