Three years ago I drew this picture the first time. When I saw a contest in DA where you had to take an old picture and redraw I totally wanted to make a new version of this one.

I like this painting... I'm curious as to what methode you used to paint it... as I'm trying to develope a new style myself... did you paint it directly in ccolor or did you sue that black and white technick then applyed color over it?
also rain isn't an easy thing to paint... and in this particular scene... I think the rain looks a bit 1 dimentional
You could have tryed adding more layers of water drops behind the dragons too to give deapth to the iamge.
Also, some mroe contrast on the dragons' scales would have accentuated the impression that they are actually wet...
ANd just like to point out that the larger dragon's snought seems unusually small compared to the rest of her body... especially when comparing it to the little hatchling... one would expect the hatchling to have a smaller snought and the adult to have a larger one... but that's just me.
Now besides those things... I must say you did an awesome job on the dragon's scales ( did you paint them all by hand or used a texture? ) and on the vegetation... really convincing, however, I think there's just a bit too much difference between the blue of the background and the green in the foreground... methinks if the green in the foreground were just a bit more bluish it would have givven more unity to the overall image and accentuated the idea of rain...
anyways, overall it's a really ncie pic... I'm working on a rain picture myself now... so it's been a nice thing to look at. Keep up the artwork...
